Alabama’s odds to win the NCAA National Championship in 2015 were set at 7/1 at Bookmaker and the Crimson Tide were seeing nearly 10% of all Championship future betting action.

Once again Alabama is loaded and they do have great value with the second shortest odds.

Areas of weakness include holes in the cornerback position and the uncertainty in regards to who will replace AJ McCarron as starting quarterback.

FSU transfer Jacob Coker appears to have the job.

Athlon Sports offered this analysis of Coker’s abilities:

Coker is working under new coordinator Lane Kiffin and has yet to make a start in his collegiate career. Despite the unknown factor surrounding Coker, there’s plenty of upside. The Alabama native has all of the measurables (6-foot-5, 230 pounds and a strong arm) and spent three years learning under quarterback guru Jimbo Fisher. With a punishing ground attack and a solid defense, Coker probably won’t have to win too many games on his own this year. With matchups against LSU and Auburn later in the year, that should allow Coker plenty of time to develop as Alabama’s No. 1 quarterback.

The Tide could very well have the best schedule in the ACC, making an undefeated season possible. The oddsmakers believe Alabama will win at least 11 games at a price of -160.
