We learned a powerful lesson yesterday: Do not bet the UNDER on any games featuring the Colorado Rockies.
Though starting pitchers the likes of Jorge De La Rosa may get the job done at home, the Rockies relief is God awful and Gambling911.com found that out the hard way yesterday after staying two runs below the UNDER only to have Colorado’s closer fill the bases, ultimately resulting in a push for us. We did make out nicely with a play on the Pittsburgh Pirates later Wednesday evening, however, resulting in another winning day and our current run rose to 8-1 over the course of these past two weeks.
Before we get started with our pick analysis on the day and the MLB betting lines, let’s look at some vital pitching and team vs. team trends.

Miami’s Henderson Alvarez is 0-2 when starting against Atlanta with an ERA of 6.67.
The Chicago Cubs Edwin Jackson is 0-5 when starting against San Diego with an ERA of 6.95 and a WHIP of 1.818.
The Mets Dillon Gee is 0-3 when starting against Milwaukee with an ERA of 6.75 and a WHIP of 1.616.
Milwaukee's Matt Garza is 0-0 when starting against the New York Mets with an ERA of 1.93 and a WHIP of 1.071.
Cleveland's Corey Kluber is 4-1 when starting against KANSAS CITY with an ERA of 3.33 and a WHIP of 1.071.
Minnesota's Phil Huches is 4-1 when starting against the Chicago White Sox with an ERA of 2.78 and a WHIP of 1.037.
Max Scherzer is 3-1 when starting against the LA Angels with an ERA of 2.16 and a WHIP of 0.900.
Garrett Richards is 2-0 when starting against Detroit with an ERA of 0.00 and a WHIP of 0.643.

The Tigers RH Max Scherzer (11-3, 3.34 ERA) has pitched magnificently. As noted above, he is 3-1 when starting against the LA Angels with an ERA of 2.16 and a WHIP of 0.900.
Likewise, the Angels RH Garrett Richards (11-2, 2.47) has been superb. He comes into this game having been handed a no-decision against Seattle following a six-inning shutout but ultimately gave up a single run by the 8th inning. He comes into this game with his ninth straight quality start and is 2-0 when starting against Detroit with an ERA of 0.00 and a WHIP of 0.643.
Three of the last four games in this series have resulted in 7 runs or less.
The UNDER is 13-4-1 in Scherzer's last 18 road starts.
The UNDER is 8-3-2 in Richards' last 13 starts as a favorite and 8-1-2 in Richards' last 11 starts when their opponent scores 5 runs or more in their previous game.
Los Angeles is 40-15 at home against Detroit since 2001.
