The Seattle Seahawks were a -105 favorite to win the 2014 NFC West and incredibly not the early favorite to win the 2015 Super Bowl at BetDSI.com where they were priced at just over 5/1.  It is the Denver Broncos favored to win the Super Bowl at just shy of 5/1 odds.

Tom Wilkinson of BetDSI.com writes of the Seahawks

They were no fluke last season as they went 13-3 and had the best point differential in the NFL. They could be just as good this season but finish with a worse record because their schedule is a lot harder. Last year they played a very weak schedule and took advantage. They also had a lot of things go their way as they won twice in overtime and three other times by seven points or less.

Another reason for the value in price has to do with the division they play in.  All four teams are playoff capable heading into this season, at least on paper.

The odds to win the NFC West in 2014 were as follows:

Seattle Seahawks -105

San Francisco 49ers +139

Arizona Cardinals +855

St. Louis Rams +965
