Three Rochester, New York area men have been indicted on 23 counts for their role in running an offshore sportsbook.

Federal prosecutors charged Paul Borrelli, 66, Joseph Ruff, 32, both of Rochester and Mark Ruff, 40, of Connecticut with money laundering and illegal gambling.  The two Rochester men own The Marina Restaurant and Bar in Charlotte, New York.  A half dozen police officers, some of whom were wearing masks, raided the restaurant on Wednesday.  By afternoon, the establishment had been boarded up.

The three individuals utilized offshore Internet gambling websites in order to facilitate the crimes.

A sign on the front door read: "The Marina Restaurant will be temporarily closed for this evening. Thank you."

The three men could face prison time and the forfeiture of $76 million.
