GERMANY -155
USA +900
Draw +185
The USA will face Germany to determine who moves to the Round of 16 from Group G. The game will be played in Pernambuco Arena in Recife on Thursday at noon and will be televised on ESPN.
This is a monster game with strangely high odds for a USA win as the moneyline is at -155 for Germany and at +900 for the USA.
the lions share of the betting is for the USA to win and A draw looks very likely as well as the odds are at +185.
The United States side was on the brink of progressing into the knockout stages of the World Cup with a second group stage victory on Sunday, but Portugal netted a goal in the 95th minute to bring the match to a draw. The late goal by Silvestre Varela means the United States' progression into the next phase is no longer a guarantee. The good news is that they're still still well positioned to advance , despite a tough game against Germany still to come.

The USA does not have to win this game to get to the Knock out stage, they could draw,or even lose, as there are several scenarios within this groups results that could carry them over.
Obviously no one will admit it, but The talk is rampant in the press and social media about a repeat of the FIFA farce in Spain 1982,
where West Germany and Austria, sent a great Algerian underdog team home by adhering to a pre-arranged one-goal West German win for the 2 teams to automatically advance to the knock out stage. A draw in this game, would advance both the USA and Germany automatically.
By looks of the odds at +185 for a draw, it is likely, and the high stakes on the USA could also be an indicator. The USA has been surprising in World Cup play so far and so if they are on their game and playing fair, this could be a great bet.
