The World Series of Poker Academy, poker's premier series of instructional camps where participants learn first-hand from the world's greatest poker players, will head to Thackerville, Okla. on February 21-22, to host a Tournament Academy at the WinStar World Casino.
The comprehensive, two-day poker camp and experience will feature world-class instruction by 2004 World Champion Greg Raymer, WSOP bracelet winner Michael Gracz, top poker instructor Alex Outhred, world-renowned mindset coach Sam Chauhan and many more.
"We're thrilled to bring the WSOP Academy to the WinStar World Casino in Oklahoma. This event will feature some of the biggest names in poker sharing their secrets and strategies, and I'm confident our grads will walk away with the skills they need to be a threat at the table," said Jeff Goldenberg of Post Oak Productions, the company that produces the WSOP Academy.
"We're also making it easier than ever for poker players to invest in their poker game and become winning players with our Play Now, Pay Later program," explained Goldenberg.
With the "Play Now, Pay Later" program, participants can still secure a spot at the WSOP Academy by paying only 25% of the tuition cost, with the remaining amount due in three equal monthly payments.
The WSOP Academy event in Oklahoma will provide participants with in-depth seminars, live hand demonstrations, interactive workshops, and customized handbooks. The Academy's instructors will cover all aspects of No-Limit Texas Hold 'em tournament strategy, from playing position and calculating pot odds to the importance of aggression and changing gears.
Participants will also receive specialized instruction from Sam Chauhan, one of the most sought after mindset coaches in the world. A leading expert in neuro-linguistic programming, physiological readings and muscle readings, Chauhan uses these skills to teach poker players how to create a powerful poker mindset for tournaments and cash games, including how to deal with a bad beat and get other players to put you on the wrong hand.
A private tournament will also be held with the winner receiving an all expense paid trip to Las Vegas and free entry to the WSOP Academy's Main Event Primer, plus a seat in the WSOP Academy Tournament of Champions, held just prior to the Main Event of the 2009 World Series of Poker.
Tuition for this WSOP Academy event is $1,699 with a payment of only $425 needed to register. The additional tuition payments will be billed each month for the three following months.
