Hamilton and Rosberg
Hamilton has won four races this season while Rosberg has just two wins but Rosberg has been more consistent and leads the driver standings. Hamilton is the favorite to win on Sunday and he needs to make up some ground on his Mercedes teammate. "It's always exciting to go to a new venue, so it should be an interesting weekend.” Hamilton said, “I'm feeling good in the car right now and I'll be pushing flat out to come away with maximum points this time around."
Race Notes
The Austrian Grand Prix has not been on the Formula One calendar since 2003. Sunday’s race will mark the return to Austria. There are only four drivers who have any F1 experience racing at Red Bull Ring in Spielberg, Austria. Jenson Button raced four times; Kimi Raikkonen had three starts while Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa also have experience on the track. The track is one of the shortest on the F1 schedule with just nine corners so the Mercedes cars should do well. McLaren has won the Austrian Grand Prix six times while Ferrari has five wins.
F1 Predictions
Daniel Ricciardo won the last race in Montreal which ended the Red Bull winning streak at six. It is hard to see him getting up front on Sunday as the Mercedes cars should control the race. I will take Lewis Hamilton to get back to his winning ways on Sunday.
