The Washington Wizards were among the first teams to finish their opponent off in the first round of the 2014 NBA Playoffs, as a lower seed no less.  Heading into the next round, Washington had impressive 12-1 odds of winning the 2014 NBA Eastern Conference at Sportsbook.com.

Both Brooklyn and Indiana looked especially vulnerable in the 1st round with the Nets having to finish off Toronto in the final seconds of play of that series in order to advance on Sunday.  Miami has shown kinks in the armor over the course of the regular NBA season.

The Wizards open the Conference Semifinals on the road in Indiana as a +4.5 underdog

The Wizards may have an edge in this series against the Pacers.  When playing against a team with a winning record - 2nd half of this past season, Indiana is just 3-13 Against The Spread.

That said, Indiana is 5-0 Straight Up vs. Washington at home over the past three seasons, though they are just 2-3 Against The Spread.

The Pacers are 8-2 Straight Up against Washington over the last 3 seasons overall but only 4-6 Against The Spread.

Odds to win the 2014 NBA Eastern Conference:

Brooklyn Nets 8/1

Indiana Pacers 6/1

Miami Heat -350

Washington Wizards 12/1
