The online poker site that's famous for paying grinders extra cash through two generous point races is at it again, this time delivering something big for high rollers. Americas Cardroom today announced the addition of a weekly High Roller tournament with a $500+$30 buyin to its already packed lineup of big weekly guarantees.
"After the incredible success of our Online Super Series III, we kept hearing from players asking for an ongoing High Roller event," stated Americas Cardroom spokesperson Michael Harris. "Today, we're thrilled to deliver it on a weekly basis. While the guarantee is $20,000, we expect the final prize pool in the High Roller to climb much higher thanks to a satellite schedule that promises to feed a lot of players into it."
The $20,000 High Roller tournament will run every Sunday at 6:00pm ET. The tournament, which features a $500+$30 buy-in, will run with 20-minute blind levels. Players will start with 10,000 chips and the tournament will remain open for late registration for three hours.
While the event kicks off one hour before Americas Cardroom’s Sunday $50,000 GTD, Americas Cardroom allows players to play in multiple tournaments simultaneously, so playing in both is always an option.
Satellites to the High Roller tournament are running now. Each satellite will pay out at least one seat in the Main Event. The cost of each daily satellite $40+$4. Also on the schedule is a 2-seat guarantee every Saturday at 6:30pm ET, with a $10 buy-in. The Saturday satellite features rebuys and add-ons, with a double add-on of $20.
