SFA hit a final seconds basket to upset Virginia Commonwealth in overtime Friday night with a two-point victory.
Stephen F. Austin built a six-point halftime lead by taking care of the ball against VCU's havoc defense, turning it over five times on 31 possessions. VCU turned up the pressure in the second half, scoring 13 points off 11 Lumberjack turnovers to force overtime. In the extra period, Stephen F. Austin turned it over once on eight possessions, and VCU failed to capitalize.
