Entering Friday, Arizona outscored its opponents by 10.7 points per game in the paint, second among major conference teams behind SMU (+12.7). Aaron Gordon led the way for Sean Miller's team with 12 points in the paint, including two dunks.
The number eight seeded Zags managed to hold off Oklahoma State by a final score of 85-77.
Oklahoma State and Gonzaga combined for 61 fouls, tied for the 3rd-most combined fouls in any NCAA Tournament game.
Gonzaga has beaten Arizona once in their lone head-to-head meeting over the past three years.
