We get this question a lot and the answer is a resounding “YES”.  You can place bets online using your iPhone, Android and Blackberry mobile devices at nearly all online sportsbooks.  Most also offer betting via an iPad.

“Readership at Gambling911.com is close to 50% mobile so this makes perfect sense,” notes Payton O’Brien, Senior Editor of the Gambling911.com website.  “There is a common misconception that folks can only view line information and the like via a mobile device when in fact they can actually place a bet.”

BetDSI.com is one of the online sportsbooks that offers mobile wagering on both smartphones and tablets.

They feature a non-downloadable system for the iPhone and Android and a download-able software application for Windows Mobile devices, PDAs including Blackberry, and other popular, web-enabled cell phones.

You can also add money to your account via these devices.

We’ve alluded to this before in a previous column, there are no direct apps for betting sports with real money, at least not in North America.
