LAS VEGAS — (Associated Press) - The World Series of Poker will give poker pros and amateurs a record number of chances to win gold bracelets at its Las Vegas bonanza this summer, and will award at least $10 million to the main event winner.

The organization announced Tuesday that it will hold the 65 tournaments at the Rio Hotel & Casino from May 27 through July 14. The World Series' main event— a $10,000 buy-in, no-limit Texas Hold 'em tournament — will run from July 5 to July 14 and then resume again in November. The organization is guaranteeing the winner at least $10 million.

Entrants must be at least 21 years old to play.

Organizers say $197 million in prize money was awarded during last year's contest, when 62 bracelets were up for grabs.
