Dollar signs are starting to appear in all our eyes as we head into Sunday and the right 2009 Super Bowl picks can make some of you a whole lot richer during these tough economic times.  And the best 2009 Super Bowl picks are those that don't require a whole lot of money to put down but may translate into quite the pay day.

Case in point, the winning margin bets being offered at Sports Interaction.

"The fundamental challenge of sports betting is to decide which side of the spread you're going to pick, but how far the actual result goes either side doesn't matter," observes Frank Doyle of Sports Interaction, who also writes for the Gambling911.com website.  "Winning margin changes that; you can still beat the number, but not by too much or else you lose. You have to get it just right.

"Sports Interaction divides up the possible winning margins into groups of five and sets prices accordingly. Of the winning margin options, Pittsburgh to win by between six and ten points is the favorite at +300. It's not hard to see why - people expect Pittsburgh to win and cover, but Arizona has won a lot of respect during the playoffs and nobody expects the Cardinals to get their clocks cleaned.

"The average winning margin of the forty-two Super Bowls that have been played is fifteen points, but we haven't really seen stompings like we saw in the ‘eighties in recent years. The four Super Bowls New England have been involved in this decade were all decided by three points, for example. Personally, I'm going to take Pittsburgh by 16-20 at +800 with Sports Interaction, as I believe the Pittsburgh defense has the potential to run up the score with pick sixes. And getting eight bucks' profit on the dollar is tempting also."

+800 means that should Frank's 2009 Super Bowl pick be a winner, you'll receive $800 for every $100 bet.

Of course, making Super Bowl picks from scoring margins is no easy task, not even for a bookmaker.

Remember, Sports Interaction is giving out 10 percent cash bonuses on top of all new deposits.
