One of the more unique Super Bowl 2014 exotics (prop bets) centered around Denver Broncos starting quarterback Peyton Manning and how many “Omaha” calls he will make. BetOnline has the number set at OVER/UNDER 24.5

Manning first told the media that “Omaha” represents a running play.  But he didn’t stop there.

“But it could be a pass play,” he said, “or a play-action pass, depending on a couple of things.

“The wind. Which way we’re going. The quarter. And the jerseys we’re wearing. So it really varies play to play.”

The New England Patriots claimed that “Omaha” represented a dummy play.

Against San Diego, Manning yelled “Omaha” 44 of 70 times before a play.

Omaha is Nebraska’s largest city and they took full advantage of their newfound notoriety.

The Omaha Chamber of Commerce used the social media platform to tweet a video created last week that uses Manning's "Omaha" presnap shout against a backdrop of a number of the city's most popular destinations.
"It was an effort to make sure we said 'Thank you,' " creator Dana Altman said. "It was also a way, when people are yelling 'Omaha,' for them to have some images to associate with it."

Eight of the city's businesses teamed up to donate $800 for every "Omaha" call the quarterback made against New England to Manning's PeyBack Foundation for at-risk youth.

The city even named a baby Penguin at the city zoo Peyton Manning.

Not surprisingly, Omaha may be rooting for the Broncos just as hard as Denver when the Super Bowl takes place Sunday February 2.
