Poll Finds Voters in PA Don’t Want Online Gambling

They are loving it in neighboring New Jersey but Pennsylvania voters have spoken and they say there is no place for legalized online gambling in their state.

A new Quinnipiac Polla shows by a margin of 62 to 33 percent, state voters oppose legalizing online gambling with 70 percent of those surveyed believing that online gambling and expanding the number of casinos in Pennsylvania will only lead to more addition.

These poll results come at a time when lawmakers are mulling over possible legislation that would permit Web gambling in the state.

Pennsylvania state Sen. Mike Stack, D-Philadelphia, on the other hand, is contemplating the introduction of a measure that would ban the activity.
