Gambling911.com  sources in the Philippines have confirmed that offices of Bodog in Manila have been raided and those within the company are pointing the finger at former Philippines "Gangster Governor" Chavit Singson as the mastermind behind this action.

As it turns out, the questionable warrant suggests the notion that the company is offering gambling products to local citizens on a “street level”.

Gambling911.com sources have been shown documentation suggesting that former “Gangster Governor” Chavit Singson may have pulled some strings resulting in the raid on Bodog offices.

“The raiding party was 12 deep and only 4 of the group had ID,” stated one witness that was in the office at the time the documents were presented. “I read the questionable documents being thrown around by the authorities and they were referencing local gambling violations, however the company does not offer services to the locals.

Anyone trying to access the company’s website from within the Philippines is blocked via geo-location scripts, so it is impossible to access the website from within the country.  Bodog maintains the website Bodog88.com from the region, catering mostly to a Southeastern Asian customer base.

The Philippines Government has a very stringent regulatory regime, which is strictly enforced and monitored by the Cagayan De Oro Economic Zone Authority and completely followed by the company.

Company sources tell Gambling911.com they believe these allegations are “politically/financially motivated by disgruntled former employees who are currently under indictment for fraud and theft, and their political overlords based on the documentations we have seen.”

These raids commenced at a time in which Gambling911.com has been breaking stories related to former executives of the company allegedly embezzling monies.  Charges have been filed against some of the accused individuals.  Singson is believed to have ties with some of those accused in the embezzlement scheme though the politician himself is yet to be formerly named in any charges.

Our sources have confirmed that approximately one dozen employees were detained for about 5 hours but were eventually released due to a complete absence indication of any impropriety.

It should also be noted that customers of Bodog will in no way be adversely affected by Thursday’s actions in Manila.

Gambling911.com will have much more on this situation in the next 24 hours! Stay tuned
