Detroit police have charged Larry Walker Jr. with assault against a federal officer following a mass shooting at a barbershop that left three dead and six others wounded.

Prosecutors filed the criminal complaint Friday afternoon alleging that Walker Jr. had attempted to ram the officer’s vehicle with his own car.

The FBI says Walker yelled, "No one chases my mamma," referring to a female. Walker was wearing body armor.

Walker will remain in custody until another court hearing Tuesday. A defense lawyer will be assigned.  He is not charged with the actual shooting though Sgt. Mike Woody did say that Walker is a person of interest.

The barbershop doubled as a gambling den.
