Rob Ryan is going to have to find a way to control Tony Romo and the Dallas offense that can definitely rack up the points. They are facing a squad that is very much in contention to get a good handle on the postseason and want to get back to the big game that has eluded them for quite some time now. Ryan knows Jason Garrett and the Cowboys quite well, he used to work for him, and will most likely have a few key pointers for the Saints to get a big time win here.
The Saints are going to be pulling a good overall game here and at a record of 6 and 2 will most likely put them in a category of tough opponents for the Cowboys, which is something that most don’t really realize. There are a few matches on the field that you’re going to want to keep an eye on, especially Dez Bryant and Keenan Lewis.
The Match Up:
Both of these teams have offensive options that are going to be well worth betting on, especially if you’re going to have an over the spread. The numbers are going to be interesting as the defensive side of things will break down and you will get a shootout in the fourth quarter, much like we saw with Denver and Dallas. The Saints have an upside, but the Cowboys aren’t slouches and will most likely bring the heavy hitting, smash mouth style of football that will carry them to a slight edge. Last time they met the Saints were able to edge out a victory, but this time around, it’s going to be the Dallas Cowboys that are going to win, and it’s due in large part to the memory of Tony Romo and his skill set that is going to trump the Saints, even if the game turns out to be a shootout. Look for the Cowboys to fix mistakes and edge out a win here, even if they are underdogs at +6.
