LAS VEGAS - In honor of the Ultimate Fighting Championship®’s (UFC®) 20th anniversary, Ultimate Poker will host a Hall of Fame Poker Game featuring world-renowned UFC® fighters and personalities Chuck Liddell, Forrest Griffin, Matt Hughes, Royce Gracie and Bruce Buffer at Red Rock Casino Resort and Spa at the Race and Sports Book from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 15.
Ultimate Poker Team U professional players, including Jason Somerville, William Reynolds, Brent Hanks, Phil Collins, Lauren Kling, Dan O’Brien and Jeremy Ausmus, will be on hand to assist the UFC personalities. Although they won’t be playing, each pro will advise their partner on the best moves to make throughout the game. In addition to playing, Buffer will entertain fans with his one-of-a-kind commentary throughout the match.
“Anytime you put UFC fighters at the table, there’s going to be some heavy competition to win. It’s in our nature,” said UFC Hall of Famer Chuck Liddell. “The Hall of Fame Poker Game is a great addition to the UFC’s 20th anniversary celebration. Poker is a great game of skill, just like the UFC.”
One lucky individual will have a chance to win a seat at the Hall of Fame Poker Game and play against the UFC legends. Those with an Ultimate Poker account may enter into the Hall of Fame Poker Game Satellite Freeroll taking place online on Sunday, Nov. 10 at 5 p.m. Residents and tourists alike located in the state of Nevada can sign up for a free Ultimate Poker account for the chance to play in the freeroll and win. The freeroll champion will earn a seat at the Hall of Fame Poker Game to play in a six-handed sit and go tournament with UFC superstars at Red Rock Resort on Nov. 15.
Spectators aged 21 and over can catch the action live inside the Race and Sports Book while enjoying drink specials from event co-sponsor Bud Light. Seats will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. The match will be broadcast on televisions throughout the sports book allowing audience members to catch all the action.
During the game, Ultimate Poker will give away two pairs of tickets to UFC 167 on Saturday, Nov. 16. Follow Ultimate Poker on Twitter for details on how to win. Fans must be present to win.
No real money will be exchanged during the game. Players will be competing for bragging rights only.
