In theory The New Orleans Saints will just pummel the New York Jets. This game could very well be a huge beat down and cause a lot of stress for all the New York faithful that are hoping for a turnaround in the season. The Jets have some dangerous upside and they have had a terrible season at times and then have come up with some amazing wins, as their never say die attitude comes through at the most opportune times. It’s with that in mind that you should keep an eye on what could go very right for Quarterback Geno Smith and the surging Jets. Remember, their last game pitted the Bengals to only 9 points against the 49 that the Jets threw up.
That’s all fine and dandy but let’s not discount Drew Brees and a Saints team that looks just as good as they did when they took to the Super Bowl and showcased a greatness that is coming back again. The 6 – 1 Saints aren’t going to just drop the ball here, they are not looking past the Jets, and analysts are worried that they may very well lose this one. Could Josh Cribbs be the equalizer here? If there is a stale mate brewing, the addition of a healthy Cribbs could change everything for the game and could launch the Jets into a big win against the New Orleans Saints.
The Match Up:
Let’s not forget that Nick Folk is perfect, and as a good kicker he may be the other side of the equalizing special team’s formula that could be a major factor in this game. This may be a matter of special teams fighting it out if the Jets play like they did against the New England Patriots, winning a game that they had no business winning. It’s with that in mind that we’re going to go with the Jets here, even though some analysts will laugh. They have enough upside right now and momentum to fight the Saints off and win at +6, this is a good option.
