ONCHAN, Isle of Man – PokerStars today announced that the world’s most popular online poker series, MicroMillions, will return from November 14-24.  The sixth series will have 100 events and $5 million in guaranteed prizes.

The micro-stakes festival has buy-ins ranging from just $0.11 to $22, making it the most accessible and fun tournament series for beginner, recreational and low stakes players alike. Over the past two years the tri-annual series has quickly become the most played poker series ever, with more than one million tournament entries for each festival.

Team PokerStars Pro and two-time MicroMillions Player of the Series, Marcin ‘Goral’ Horecki, said: “MicroMillions is a lot of fun and offers great value. For low stakes players, it’s a chance to win big money at little cost, while for higher stakes players the added Tournament Leader Board prizes make it a worthwhile proposition.”

Tournament schedule
The series will begin on November 14 with a $0.11+R NL Hold’em [Hyper-Active] tourney and will finish on November 24 with the final ten events, including the $1 million guaranteed No Limit Hold’em Main Event, which features a $22 buy-in and at least $150,000 for first place. For the first time in MicroMillions, there will also be an $8.80 NL Hold’em Progressive Super Knockout event, where the bounty on a player’s head increases during the tournament as they knock people out and win bounties themselves.

MicroMillions 6 Leader Board
As Marcin ‘Goral’ Horecki has shown twice, consistency can reap huge rewards. This time, PokerStars is adding some fantastic prizes for players who make the top 100 places on the Player of the Series Leader Board:

1st – Free Sunday Million tickets for six months (26 x $215 tickets)

2nd-10th – 5 x $215 Sunday Million tickets ($1,075 in value for each player)

11th-100th – 1 x $215 Sunday Million ticket

MicroMillions history
MicroMillions 4, which took place March this year, is still the most popular single online festival of all time, with 1,572,760 individual tournament entries and a total prize pool of more than $9.5 million. The Main Event was also the biggest of the tournament series so far, with more than 68,000 entries and a prize pool of $1,361,620. However, the biggest individual prize to date came in the MicroMillions 5 Main Event (in July), when ‘stygher’ from Lithuania emerged with $160,726.14 after no deal was done at the final table.
