This week will once again prove to be a misery inducing week for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Even though there are some analysts that want to believe in a miracle, it’s not going to happen. The Eagles may be grounded a bit, but that won’t be enough of a fall to allow the Tampa Bay team to become glorious.

The Philadelphia Eagles will be visiting a team that is not very good. They are down right awful, and they will have to just show up to win. It’s that bad. Ok, they have upside, and they weren’t getting blown out. They lose, but not without a fight, which is something to consider this week. Meanwhile, the Philadelphia Eagles are a team that have been bolstering success thanks to their catch-as-catch-can offense and their defense that has some upside at various stages. The Tampa Bay team has been ranked as the worst offense in the league, and if they haven’t improved through practice this week, they are going to fall short of scoring against the Eagles, which can make teams pay if they lose sight just for a moment.
The Eagles are definitely going to face a team that is as bad if not worse than the Giants. Even without Vick playing at full speed, or at all, they are going to have an easy time here. It’ll be interesting to see whether or not they can edge out the weaker team through four quarters, or if they’ll blow a lead like the Houston Texans did against Seattle.
The Match Up:
Dough Martin proved to be a major contender against teams last year, rushing up a storm. However, this year he has been abysmal, thanks to a lackluster depth chart and the fact that the Tampa Bay offensive line has trouble. Martin will have to run harder and faster to try and cope with the lackluster protection and depth he’s dealing with. He has some upside, but he’s not going to run circles around the Eagles this week, and therefore he’s going to get isolated yet again. Look for the Eagles to win, with or without Vick playing, they are still better than Tampa Bay.
