Quarterback troubles are plaguing a lot of teams, and there is a lot of switching going on, and this week is no different for another team that should be thriving right now - the Minnesota Vikings.

The Vikings will take on the Carolina Panthers this week, but it’s important to first realize that the Minnesota team is going to get a new quarterback. There is a lot of buzz right now as to whom will start, and many people believe that Christian Ponder will be the starter, of course if he’s healthy. Meanwhile the Carolina Panthers have had some issues this season, even with some good receivers and offensive points of interest. Despite their upside, there are still some issues that will need to be fixed before they can take out the Vikings this week.
The Panthers on offense are not great, but they can definitely punish teams that don’t take t hem seriously. They may have only won a single game this season, but they can definitely do some damage on the offensive side of things. They have struggled, no doubt, but their highlight win against the New York Giants should be enough to get some optimists to join their side. Meanwhile the Vikings aren’t doing hot, and will need everything to go well for them to take out the Panthers in this match up.
The Match Up:
Cam Newton will need to finally get some wings. He’s so good, and has so much potential, that this game may turn into something good. However, this hasn’t been the case in the past few weeks, and depending on him to come out on top is a hard course to take. The Vikings are favored at first glance, but will they be able to control the tempo of the game and score big time? That’s the question at hand, and unfortunately, one that is not going to bode well for their game this week. The Vikings have an edge, they’ll most likely win, but it will not be a blow out. Watch for special teams and kicking to become the factor that puts them over here.
