After two weeks of initial reports that laptops had been compromised during this year’s EPT Barcelona event, more poker players have come forward to reveal they, too, were apparent victims of hackings during additional stops of the prestigious European Poker Tour.

World Poker Tour Champion Scott Seiver claims he was a victim of a hacking while participating in the EPT Berlin event while pro Jason Koon says he was targeted at the EPT Deauville stop.

At least two laptops left in a Barcelona hotel during the EPT Barcelona event were infected with a Trojan virus. Hackers often use the malicious Trojan virus as a means of hacking into confidential player account information.

Both incidents in Barcelona occurred at the Hotel Arts.  Rooms were apparently illegally entered with the Trojan placed directly into the poker players laptops.  Players attending the event were rightfully on edge.

PokerStars, which sponsors the EPT Barcelona event, confirmed the reports and noted that law enforcement were investigating the matter.

Seiver stated that PokerStars has yet to assist in his plight however.

Mad hysteria has since broken out on the TwoPlusTwo.com posting forums as pros fear the lack of security associated with the EPT events.

One poster offered this bit of advise that probably won’t sit well with pros who spend countless hours playing poker online.

"Make sure you leave your Laptop's at home for this trip and enjoy some live action."
