This line would be higher favoring San Francisco if not for the fact that both these teams come into Week 4 with one win apiece.

The 49ers and one of the early favorites to win the 2014 Super Bowl, lost badly at home to the Indianapolis Colts in Week 3.

ESPN.com notes that the 49ers defense, once the most imposing in the NFL, has been one of the worst over its last nine games (including the postseason).  They have been outscored by a combined 46 points while turning the ball over seven times.

Good news for San Francisco coming into Week 4 as they have dominated the Rams in recent years, going 7-2-1 over their last 10 meetings.  All but one of those wins was by more than the current 3 point spread.
