Some people have this game pegged as a less than stellar affair, but remember, this is the NFL and teams that don’t perform well one week, come out and stun the next week. It’s with that in mind that this game is going to be a good one to watch, because there is most likely going to be a clear winner, even if experts are calling this one mediocre. Both teams have their faults, and both of them have issues trying to move forward.

Current line: San Diego +3 / Over & Under at 44

Time:  Sunday, September 22, 1:00 pm (EST) CBS, DirectTV, NFL Red Zone

The Steelers and Titans locked up last week and it was not exactly the greatest game to watch. Even with a crappy Steelers team, the Titans looked dumbfounded at times. Meanwhile, The Chargers had a meltdown of sorts and just didn’t know how to play the game, even after a stellar opener. Some are even stating that this could be the end of Philip Rivers as a Charger, it was that bad. Of course this is a team game so putting the blame on just one player is not going to suffice, but considering the expectations going into this season, both teams could do better. Jack Locker is going to have to make huge jumps to take out the Chargers here, and will have to rely heavily on the run game to really work out well.

Even though the favored Texans can play rough and tumble football, the Chargers have enough going for them to sew up their mistakes and create a better chance for themselves. We’re going underdogs on this one, especially since the team has shown bits and pieces of a solid team.

The Match Up:

Looking at the match up straightway, you’ll find that Rivers and the Chargers can impact the scoreboard just fine, when they are all on the same page. Meanwhile, the Titans can in fact hit hard on defense and get a good overall score as well, it’s with that in mind that the score should match upwards past 44, but only if the defenses both break down, which is unlikely. Tennessee isn’t going to have a huge jump from the air, so if the San Diego Chargers can just sew up the run game from the Titans, they have it, and that’s why they are going to be our pick. The Chargers coming off a loss will be more likely to win, we’re going with the underdog at +3.

The Edge:

San Diego Chargers +3

SportsCashSystem.com Prediction: San Diego Chargers +3
