The latest casino property to embrace online gambling is none other than the iconic Golden Nugget casino brands.

Landry’s Inc. is the owner of Golden Nugget.  They have hired Thomas Winter, a former head of European-based Betclic Ltd. to run its online business.  They will also be partnering with Bally Technologies Inc. to provide the Internet platform.

Collaborations and in some cases consolidations between European and U.S. gaming companies are likely to continue, according to David Berman, an investment banker with Macquarie Capital USA Inc. in Los Angeles, in an interview with Bloomberg News.

“The Europeans are the only companies with real-money gaming online expertise on any scale — yet the U.S. gaming operators have the gaming licenses, customer databases and local knowledge,” he said.
