The new promotion rounds out the list of large-scale cash and prizes on the table this weekend at Americas Cardroom. Also on the tournament schedule is a 10-package Punta Cana Poker Classic guarantee on Sunday at 6:00pm ET and a $100,000 guarantee at 7:00pm ET.
"Poker and football have become pretty synonymous, well before the first card dropped online," said Americas Cardroom spokesperson Michael Harris. "This weekend, as the pigskin begins to fly, we're giving poker players something extra to look forward to. And they won't have to wait until Sunday to score big. Our double guaranteed weekend features 12 straight hours of extra cash, from Friday through Monday."
From September 6th to 9th, Americas Cardroom is hosting its M2 Weekend featuring double guarantees for 12 straight hours. All micro and mid-stakes tournaments running between 1pm and 1am ET will include a prize pool of at least twice of what's normally guaranteed in that event. Micro and mid-stakes tournaments include scheduled tournaments with buy-ins of $60 and under (not including tournament fees). Sit 'n Go events, which don't run on a schedule and don't feature guarantees, are not part of the promotion.
Two notable M2 tournaments include a $15,000 guarantee at 5:00pm ET on Sunday, which costs just $20+2 to get into, and a $2,500 guarantee at 5pm ET on Monday, featuring a buy-in of just $3+0.30.
Sunday's schedule will be full of surprises for Americas Cardroom players. Fans of even larger tournaments are invited to enter this Sunday's 10-package guarantee for the Punta Cana Poker Classic at 6:00pm ET followed by a $100,000 guaranteed No Limit Texas Hold'em tournament at 7:00pm ET.
While the guarantees will be double than what Americas Cardroom normally guarantees, the buy-in and tournament fee associated with each tournament will remain unchanged. What's more, if an event doesn't attract enough players to meet the guaranteed prize pool, Americas Cardroom will foot the bill for the difference.
