The Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open $10 Million Guarantee Championship event continues into Day 3 with one of poker’s bad boys among the top 10 chip leaders.
The bad boy in question would be David "Chino" Rheem.
A whole thread exists (actually multiple threads) at the TwoPlusTwo.com posting forums alleging Rheem is a cheat.
Last year, Rheem got into an argument caught on cell phone with a player (Harley Sroka) claiming to be owed money by the pro.
Rheem also has a few arrests out of – none other than Hollywood, Florida, home of the Hard Rock. Gambling911.com’s own Jenny Woo confirmed there were no longer arrests warrants out for Rheem.
Lt. Marino of the Hollywood Police confirmed to Gambling911.com that the "trespassing" offense against Rheem was not something that his department was likely to pursue.
"There would be no reason for Florida to extradite David on this offense seeing that it's considered a misdemeanor and was given a ‘notice to appear' (ticket) which probably entailed some fines to pay," Lt. Marino told Gambling911's Jenny Woo back I 2008 when Rheem made the final table of the 2008 World Series of Poker Main Event.
Yes, there is the question of statute of limitations, but they do not necessarily apply in the event a wanted suspect has been living outside the state. He currently resides in Los Angeles.
