Odds to the Super Bowl (2014) 40/1

Odds to win NFC East +250

Regular Season Wins Total OVER 8.5 -115

Regular Season Wins Total UNDER 8.5 -115

We’re not quite ready to put our money down on a Dallas Cowboys Super Bowl win but they certainly have a shot at taking the NFC East with some value to be found at +250.  The payout would be $250 on a $100 bet after all.  Gambling911.com is more inclined to go with the Giants, who pay nearly as much at $220.

This is essentially the same team as last year, and the Cowboys were mediocre at best.

They did manage to win 8 games so their performance really hinges on scheduling and….well…health.  Dallas was hit hard by the injury bug last season so, provided they stay healthy, logic would suggest this team should win more than 8 regular season games (again, schedule permitting).

The experts have Dallas losing on the road to New York (Giants), New Orleans, Chicago and Washington.  They will have a tough time at home vs. the likes of Denver and Green Bay.  There is a slight edge going towards both Philadelphia and Detroit on the road as well.

This scenario leaves Dallas with UNDER 8.5 wins.

In the end, it doesn’t make a whole lot of sense in our opinion to bet on Dallas other than Against The Spread in weekly games (when applicable) unless you believe there is some value in the +250 ($250) payout potential for the Cowboys to win the NFC East.
