Man tied to Russian Gambling Ring With Manhattan Art Gallery Ties Pleads Guilty

Kirill Rapoport, who was accused of participating in a gambling ring with Russian mob ties, pleaded guilty to running an illegal poker game on Friday.

U.S. prosecutors in April charged 34 defendants, including gallery owner Hillel “Helly” Nahmad, as part of the crackdown.  Law enforcement conducted a raid on Nahmad’s prestigious gallery, located in the Carlyle Hotel. The so-called “Poker Princess”, Molly Bloom, was also named in the indictment.

Krill admitted to running an illegal poker game.

Earlier this week, another participant in the scheme, William Barbalat, also pleaded guilty in the case, prosecutors said.
