The Atlanta Falcons Super Bowl odds for 2014 were listed at 12/1.  Those odds were one point shorter than the New Orleans Saints.  You can bet on all Super Bowl futures and receive a 150 percent cash bonus at AceSportsbook.com here.

Chris Burke of Sports Illustrated writes:

The Falcons made only minor tweaks to their roster, necessitated by free agency or the salary cap. That’s a sign of a team that believes it is close to winning it all. And the Falcons should believe that, after coming within a defensive stop or two of downing San Francisco in last season’s NFC title game. They will not have an easy time repeating as South division champions, but the Falcons are an upper-echelon team within the conference. It’s Super Bowl or bust … again.

Yeah, the Falcons may be good, but all four teams in this division could be competing for a spot in the 2014 post season thanks to various upgrades with each franchise.

Assuming Atlanta is capable of beating the Bucs and Panthers on the road, an 11-win regular season is very much doable.

Not counting New Orleans, the Falcons play 6 opponents in their first 9 games that failed to get above .500 last season.
