A US Justice Department Claims Administrator has concluded review of Full Tilt Poker balances and has advised that the payout process should begin shortly.

Some $150 million has been owed to US-based customers since April 2011, at which time the Justice Department forced Full Tilt out of the American market and froze a number of bank accounts tied to the company.  The US Government has since settled with Full Tilt Poker and has agreed to oversee the payouts to affected customers via an independent Claims Administrator, The Garden City Group. It was unclear whether these customers will see a full return of their monies.

A statement on the FTP website reads:

The claims process will begin shortly. Once the process begins, GCG will email instructions on how to complete an online claim to all potentially eligible claimants identified by GCG utilizing data supplied by FTP.

GCG ... has completed the review of data provided by Full Tilt Poker. It has been determined that the calculation formula to be used … for the remission process will be based on players’ final balances with FTP as of April 15, 2011.

PokerStars purchased the non-US assets of Full Tilt Poker and now operates that brand separately.  All players residing outside the US have been paid what was owed to them from FTP courtesy of PokerStars.
