ONCHAN, Isle of Man –PokerStars today announced the launch of VIP Club Month, which will give all real money PokerStars players the chance to win a share of $1 million in cash rewards and World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) tickets in September.
PokerStars players who win freerolls or earn enough points for SilverStar VIP status during August will receive tickets for the $1 million VIP Giveaway, which takes place from September 2-6. The giveaway will take the form of five ‘no-skill’ tournaments where players will be ‘all-in’ every hand until there is a winner. This is the first time that PokerStars has run this sort of promotional tournament, and will make for a fun sweat as players log on and watch to see how far they go and what they win.
Over $1 million in tens of thousands of prizes will be split across the five tourneys, with more than $200,000 up for grabs in each prize draw tournament. In total more than $400,000 in WCOOP tickets will be given away and $600,000 in cash prizes. VIP Club Month Ahead of the $1 million VIP Giveaway, PokerStars has a whole host of other VIP activities scheduled for August, including ways to help players increase their status:

- VIP trivia freeroll satellites – answer questions to win entry into the $1 million VIP Giveaway (August 12-18)

- VIP satellite to WCOOP – the ‘VIP Bash’ satellite on August 31, which can only be entered by SilverStar VIP players and above, will award 100 tickets to WCOOP, with super satellite buy-ins starting from just 5 FPPs
