The Nets odds to win the 2014 NBA Championship dipped to 15/1 from 40/1 immediately following the trade.  Blessing noted that many believe Brooklyn will now give the Heat a series run for the Eastern Conference title.

Their odds of winning the Conference dropped from 18/1 to 13/2. The Celtics, meanwhile, were 60/1 and ballooned up to 100/1.
