The former girlfriend of 2010 World Series of Poker Main Event champion Jonathan Duhamel has been sentenced to prison for 3.5 years.

Bianca Rojas-Latraverse, 21 at the time, orchestrated a brazen home invasion at Duhamel’s house outside of Montreal in 2011.  The poker pro was tied up, terrorized and beaten as Rojas-Latraverse and her two companions robbed him of his precious WSOP bracelet.

Judge Anne-Marie Jacques said Tuesday that Rojas-Latraverse received a stiff sentence because of her "behaviour behind bars and her total lack of introspection."

Rojas-Latraverse has not shown remorse throughout the court proceedings.

The judge also accused the woman of lying under oath by claiming she only joined a plot that was already in progress.

"She admits that she wanted vengeance against Jonathan Duhamel, to do bad to him," the judge said.
