*Read The Small Print in New York Casino Bill With Seneca Indians: Gifts to Unions - Gov. Andrew Cuomo has said that his proposal to allow up to three casinos in upstate New York will "create thousands of new jobs where they are needed most."

Now comes the small print: it turns out those jobs will be controlled mainly by the state's politically powerful labor unions, whose support the governor presumably is courting for the constitutional amendment that voters will be asked to approve this fall to legalize casino gambling on a broader scale.

Under the bill Cuomo unveiled last week, each casino will be required to enter into a "labor peace agreement" with unions seeking to represent their workers - which explains why the head of the state AFL-CIO was present for the governor's announcement of the plan in May. (source: Syracuse.com)

*David Chiu Five Time WSOP Bracelet Winner - David Chiu won his fifth World Series of Poker bracelet as well as $145,520. He is now the eleventh player in WSOP history to have five bracelets on his wrist.

This event drew 246 entries and generated a prize pool of $559,650. The top 32 finishers each earned a payday of at least $3,889. Notables in the money include Daniel Negreanu, who extended his WSOP Player of the Year lead with a 26th place showing, Andre Akkari (17th), Hall of Famer Mike Sexton (13th), and Jesse Martin (10th).

Here are the final table results for the $2,500 Seven Card Stud event:

1st: David Chiu - $145,520

2nd: Scott Seiver - $89,980

3rd: Freddie Ellis - $59,127

4th: Michael Mizrachi - $43,188

5th: Frank Kassela - $31,978

6th: Gary Benson - $24,003

7th: Matthew Ashton - $18,266

8th: Adam Friedman - $14,086

*Joshua Pollock Wins WSOP Bracelet - Joshua Pollock broke through for his first gold bracelet victory late Friday night in Event 22. The young pro earned $279,431 for his efforts in the $1,500 Pot-Limit Omaha event, more than tripling his career earnings at the WSOP.

The road to victory wasn't easy and it went right through Noah Schwartz. Schwartz, a pro with 13 WSOP cashes and more than $700,000 in earnings, took control of the tournament with three tables left. He came to the finale with a sizable chip lead and it looked as if his first WSOP victory was all but in the bag. As the final table progressed his lead only got larger and, at one point, might have been best described as insurmountable.
