The triple homicide occurred in Verona, Wisconsin.

Jason had placed bets with Olympic Sports, also known as TheGreek.com.  Athanas has been running Olympic Sports since 1996.

Mark Wu, a Taiwanese immigrant, was ultimately charged with the murders.

Authorities were able to trace cell phone calls to Olympic Sports, who cooperated in the investigation.  It was revealed that McGuigan failed to place a $17000 winning bet with Olympic Sports on behalf of Wu. Olympic Sports records all incoming phone calls.  Police were able to listen to the tapes and this is where they heard Woo and McGuigan on the line together.

The case is being profiled on HLN’s “Mystery Detectives” at various times Saturday afternoon and evening (check your local listings).
