The Elite 8 betting lines for this weekend’s games have Syracuse as a -4 favorite against Marquette and Ohio State a -4.5 favorite against Wichita State.  These odds were courtesy of Bookmaker and may vary across various online gambling websites.

Number 3 seed Marquette managed to beat Miami 71-61 Thursday. 

Miami managed to hit only 1 of 12 3-pointers (8.3 percent) and 6 of 28 shots overall (21.4 percent) in the first half.  Miami had been holding opponents to 39.6 percent shooting entering the game, but Marquette managed to shoot at 54 percent.  Jamil Wilson led the Eagles with 16 points.

Number 4 seed Syracuse stunned number 1 seed Indiana with a 61-50 win.

Indiana struggled with the Orange's 2-3 zone early on and fell behind by as much as 18 points.  Syracuse finished with 11 blocks and held the Hoosiers to 34 percent shooting. 

Marquette has a strong advantage here having gone 4-0 Against The Spread vs. Syracuse over the last three seasons.  This is one of the only NCAA Tournament games that feature two teams with significant recent head-to-head history.  They are 19-8 ATS as an underdog over the last 3 seasons.

Elsewhere, number 2 seed Ohio State just squeaked by number 6 seed Arizona with a final seconds 73-70 win while number 9 seed Wichita State destroyed La Salle 72-58.

Louisville and Michigan both advance to the Elite 8.
