Online poker players in the US might want to fire up their Americas Cardroom app—fast. The US-facing online poker site today announced the $5k SnG Race, a multi-leaderboard competition built exclusively for Sit 'n Go players that runs all March long.

"We know our Sit 'n Go players are competitive, so we're upping the ante with an extra $5k for those who can't get enough Sit 'n Go action," said Americas Cardroom spokesperson Michael Harris. "Our $5k leaderboard competition is designed for players of all stake levels, and everyone's got an equal chance to race to the top, no matter how they finish. We're confident our Sit 'n Go players are going to love this one."

All March long, every time an online poker player enters a Sit 'n Go at Americas Cardroom, they'll rank on a leaderboard where a total of $5,000 is on the table.

Americas Cardroom automatically awards points based on the size and value of the tournament instead of how a player ranks in the SnG. That means players who bust out first will earn the same number of points as players who finish the tournament, giving every player who enters an SnG an equal chance of winning the race.

While the $5k SnG Race is a welcome addition for fans of Sit 'n Go tourneys, leaderboard competitions are nothing new at Americas Cardroom. The online poker site runs The Beast, a monthly leaderboard competition for cash game players that generates six-figure prize pools every month.

Full details on the $5k SnG Race and The Beast can be found at AmericasCardroom.eu.
