All eyes will be on New Jersey Tuesday as that state’s Governor Chris Christie may sign a bill legalizing online gambling.  The Governor has already said he intends to sign the bill within 48 hours of it arriving on his desk.

Christie sent the measure back to lawmakers requesting amendments that would provide for a 10-year trial period.  He also wants revenue from Internet gambling taxed at 15 percent as opposed to the 8 percent taxed at Atlantic City casinos.

Assuming the Governor signs off on the bill, New Jersey would become the third state after Nevada and Delaware to legalize Web gambling.  New Jersey had three times the population of Nevada and nearly nine times the population of neighboring Delaware.
