Appearing on the Ralston Report Tuesday evening, outgoing American Gaming Association chief Frank Fahrenkopf blasted New Jersey Governor Chris Christie for what he called an “overboard” reaction to US President Barack Obama’s visit to the Garden State following Super Storm Sandy’s massive destruction.
“He kissed him. He didn’t have to French-kiss him. I think he went overboard.”
There is no love loss between Fahrenkopf and Christie as both men are looking to develop hubs for an emerging online gambling industry in the States. Fahrenkopf wants Nevada to be front and center while New Jersey lawmakers hope their state can dominate. Christie is widely expected to sign a revised bill into law come the spring.
Rich Muny, a Regional Director for the Poker Players Alliance, tweeted earlier in the evening that Fahrenkopf expected to see a House bill for online poker emerge in the next two weeks.
