The 36-year-old Jorgensen, who has amassed nearly $3 million in live tournament play during his career, was shot in the leg during the breakin late Sunday night.

Police revealed that Jorgensen’s wife was at home at the time of the robbery but was unharmed.

The poker pro is currently being hospitalized after losing significant amounts of blood.

For many in the poker community, this story brings back memories from last Christmas time when 2010 World Series of Poker champ Jonathan Duhamel was robbed during a brazen home invasion.  A former girlfriend was later charged with orchestrating the crime and is currently serving several years in prison.

The perpetrators descriptions appear below in Danish.

Gerningsmændene beskrives som:

A. Mand – cirka 170-180 centimeter høj.
