The Alabama Georgia point spread remained somewhat fluid heading into Saturday with the Vegas odds mostly at Crimson Tide -7.5.  The lone exception is the Las Vegas Hilton, which had the Alabama line at -8.  Online, 5Dimes offered a line of -8.5, encouraging action on the underdog Bulldogs.  Most of the online books were holding at -7.5.  This game opened at -8.5.

55 percent of the spread betting action was on Georgia and, not surprisingly, this was the single most wagered on College Football game of the weekend.

This is a critical game that will determine which team will face Notre Dame in the BCS Championship. It won’t be easy for Georgia as Alabama enters with the nation's top defense and is looking for its second straight national championship appearance.

Past history does not bode well for Georgia on the betting front as they are just 1-8 both Straight Up and Against The Spread as an underdog in the last three seasons.
