Still reeling from his failure to collect from a British casino, poker icon Phil Ivey has launched a new social media poker site, IveyPoker.com.  The goal:  “Teach the world how to play poker”.

Ivey has enlisted the help of fellow poker pro Greg Merson, who at press time was among three remaining players at this year’s World Series of Poker Final Table.

While the site is skeletal at the moment, Ivey does have lofty plans for IveyPoker.com, as told to ESPN.com.

“People aren’t learning how to play,” he told ESPN. “You see people just going on there and playing, but not really learning how to play the right way. What we’re doing here is teaching people how to become a winning poker player. I think a lot of people really don’t know how to play poker, and I think this is going to be an opportunity to play with the best players in the world.”

During that interview, Ivey was asked about the Full Tilt Poker scandal from last year but was unable to comment due to “legal ramifications”.
