Just when you thought GOP nominee Mitt Romney was starting to make some headway in the US Presidential race, jobless numbers released Friday took a sharp and unexpected decline, the lowest they have been in four years.

The unemployment rate fell to 7.8 percent in September, falling below 8 percent for the first time since President Barack Obama's inauguration.  Overall, the Department of Labor report suggested the job market may be getting stronger but remains sluggish.

Romney’s stock rose among the gambling public by 30 percent following his highly praised Wednesday night Presidential debate performance.

Sportsbook.com maintained Obama’s odds at -260, however.  Obama winning the US Presidential election next month is the single most wagered on option currently featured on the popular betting site
