At first it appeared as if only Seattle came away a winner from last week’s Monday Night Football Packers-Seahawks botched call by referees in the final second of play.  Gamblers and bookmakers all seemed to come out on the losing end with some bookies refunding Green Bay bets.  Others got a bad rap for not doing so.  Hundreds of millions of dollars were shifted as a result of that one call.

One Canadian man, on the other hand, managed to clean up after the NFL replacement refs called a touchdown that was clearly a Green Bay interception.

Ontario’s Gino DiFelice won $725,274 courtesy of a 15-game parlay that included the Seahawks.

"Every week I do a ticket with my picks, and then I ask my kids (Mia, 12 and Marco, 10) who they like, DiFelice relayed to the Toronto Star.  “I do one ticket each with their picks. The winner was the ticket my daughter consulted me on. The funniest part is, the ticket I made all of the picks myself, I only got four right."

If the Packers won, he would have had to split the prize with five other winners.

The other winners courtesy of that botched call were the regular NFL referees, who returned to their jobs this past week.  The NFL finally decided it had had enough.
