Three of the leading US-facing online poker rooms/networks are just on the cusp of breaking into the top 10 this week with Revolution Gaming (Lock Poker, Cake Poker) already at the number 10 spot according to traffic monitoring website, PokerScout.com.

There’s been a change in the number two US-facing spot as Bodog Poker has surpassed Merge Gaming for the first time in well over two years.  Both sites are hovering right around the 1000 average players per day mark.  One reason for the surge with Bodog could be that they have managed to improve their payment solutions platform and cut down on payout wait periods to under two weeks in some cases during the late summer.  Merge has also improved its payout wait periods pretty dramatically, though they have become more reliant on cash transfer options in recent weeks, which aren’t always the most feasible for the mainstream online poker player.

The good news for the online poker arena is that PokerScout.com reports significant gains in traffic across the overall industry in recent months.  This week was the first decline witnessed in more than a month, 0.5 percent although PartyPoker, the world’s number three most trafficked online poker room, saw an impressive 12 percent increase in traffic.
