The Giants were a -1 favorite going into Carolina but with 75 percent of the bets going towards New York on the spread, this line had already moved up a half point at some books by Monday night. 

Both teams come into this game with 1-1 records having each won their Week 2 games. 

The Giants were nearly upset at home against versus Tampa Bay but managed to pull off a 41-34 win in the final minutes after trailing throughout much of the game.  Manning ended up throwing touchdowns of 23 yards to Hakeem Nicks, 80 to Victor Cruz and 33 to Martellus Bennett with 3:59 to play to give New York a 34-27 lead.

Carolina, meanwhile, stunned the New Orleans Saints Sunday 35-27.  The Saints were among the most wagered on side of the week and, as such, the Panthers provided bookmakes with an early Christmas gift.  Carolina is just 3-20 Straight Up as an underdog over the past three seasons.
